Ravensí Boldin Out for the Remainder of Regular Season with Knee Injury

Anquan Boldin will miss the Baltimore Ravens' final two regular-season games after undergoing surgery to repair a torn mensicus in his knee.

Boldin was having the surgery done on the knee today in Birmingham, Ala., by Dr. James Andrews. The injury apparently flared up on Tuesday.

Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Anquan Boldin, 31, is second on the Ravens with 57 catches and first with 887 receiving yards. The injury occurred Tuesday after the teamís walk-through practice. His surgery will be performed by the renowned orthopedist Dr. James Andrews.

Boldin, who was acquired by the Ravens from the Arizona Cardinals in March 2010, has 57 catches for 887 yards and three touchdowns this season. He has been relatively quiet of late, totaling 16 catches over the past six games and averaging just 43.3 yards per game during that span.

Boldin, known for his toughness, hasnít missed a game since the 2005 season. As for a replacement, veteran Lee Evans will step in and fill the void left by Boldin.and allow for more opportunities for one of the Ravensí younger receivers, like David Reed, Tandon Doss or LaQuan Williams.
